Wild Garden Bioblitz - citizen science event!

  • Beatrix Farrand Garden Association 4097 Albany Post Road, P.O. Box 315 Hyde Park, NY, 12538 United States (map)

This event will take place at the Beatrix Farrand Garden in Hyde Park.

Join us for a Bioblitz! Have you ever wanted to be a citizen scientist? We need your observational skills to help us document all of the biodiversity in our newly installed Wild Garden at the Beatrix Farrand Garden. This recent addition hosts over 150 species of native plants which are already attracting many new birds, insects, reptiles, and other life to the garden. We welcome your help documenting what we can find in a single morning in August, and in 2025 we’ll do it again and see the difference our garden is making to biodiversity in our area!

We will start the event with collection instructions and an orientation at 10:30am. For this event you will need a smart phone with audio recording or photo capturing capabilities. If you wish to upload data on site you will need the iNaturalist app uploaded to your phone before you arrive.
