Exploring Flowering Bulbs in the Garden

  • Beatrix Farrand Garden Association 4097 Albany Post Road, P.O. Box 315 Hyde Park, NY, 12538 United States (map)

Flowering bulbs are cherished markers of Spring in the garden and signal the beginning of the garden’s annual re-awakening. Join Erica Beeney of Bloem HV on a Spring bulb walk through the gardens at Bellefield that will integrate the history of the popularization of bulbs by the Dutch, their cultivation and varieties, as well as their use in garden composition, including inspiring color palettes, planting arrangements, and naturalization.

Erica Beeney is a co-founder of Bloem HV, which creates seasonal living floral arrangements, and does botanical décor and garden design as Bloem HV Workshop. The Bloem HV ethos is about integrating the art of nature into both indoor and outdoor living spaces with particular focus on the history, aesthetics, and microclimates of the Hudson Valley.
