Lunchtime Learning: Story time - A Garden Of Colors

Story time: A Garden Of Colors

Join us as we travel through the garden gates for a special story time and scavenger hunt at the Beatrix Farrand Garden on the grounds of the FDR National Historic Site.

There will also be time to follow the self-guided StoryWalk® If You Plant A Seed by Kadir Nelson. Look for the numbered stakes planted around the garden to read the story! If you Plant a Seed weaves a simple tale about the benefits of kindness and generosity and the consequences of acting selfishly. With beautiful illustrations and sparse text, author Kadir Nelson masterfully conveys the power each one of us has to act in ways that help our community.

Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and a picnic lunch to enjoy in the garden after the program!
